Seeking Electrical Test Technicians (STO) for the Electric Boat, Quonset Point Test Organization. Electrical Test Technicians perform electrical and fiber optic acceptance testing in accordance with test procedures, technical manuals, drawings, specifications and procedures. Testing is performed in a shipboard construction environment.
High School diploma or equivalency degree required; additional preference given for technical, vocational or apprenticeship training associated with electrical and/or electronic theory and application
Must be able to work all shifts, heights, confined spaces and extreme temperature conditions as required
Individual must be able to understand and explain electrical drawings, blueprints and diagrams - the ability to read, understand, and work from electrical drawings & diagrams and blueprints is required
Preferred / Desired Skills:
Knowledge of electrical and or electronic theory is necessary for the job requirements
Military experience preferred; US Navy experience involving the operation and maintenance of electrical and/or electronic systems is highly desirable
